The website we chose is www.behance.net. This social website has a variety of art created by artists around the world waiting to be discovered. Created in New York City of 2006, a group of people collided ideas together to come up with this website for all types of artists. The creators name is not mentioned anywhere, only a group of people. This website is efficiently laid out for easy use and search. The entire page has pictures ranging from sculptures to computer enhanced or modified art work. Behance would be a good site for established businesses to find young talent.
In 2006, we set out to put control into the hands of countless creative professionals suffering from inefficiency, disorganization, and careers at the mercy of bureaucracy. This quote is the inspriation behind what made this website great. The website is all about connecting with people that are artists. There is no selling of the art which I find interesting considering they are artists that want to make money but the whole purpose is for businesses to connect with them. Creating an account on behance is all that is required to get started for posting your work. Users visit this site multilple times a day, checking for contact information from potential businesses and work. New people just like looking at all the fastinating work posted to individual artists's posts. Viewers can also leave comments at the bottom of the artists page letting them know how awesome their work is. This website is something to behold with all the creativity that went into the work.
